      Hello all,

Is it necessary to assign a Snap (or swop) profile in photoshop, or assign a Snap profile in A for a cmyk logo when the indesign file where these art are placed also has an assigned snap profile? Wouldn’t the export pdf creation convert all these art to SNAP with or without assigned profiles from ai or ps??

In other words, I can have an RGB workflow in Indesign and have Indesign do the conversion to SNAP, SWOP or GRACoL when I export the PDF file.

What is your best practice for Newsprint ad? Convert to or Assign a profile in PS? I would be extremely interesting to hear.

      Happy New Year!

I talk about this in great detail in my titles InDesign Insider Training: Color Management and also Working with Photoshop and Illustrator courses.

The quick version is: you can place RGB images into InDesign and have it convert to whatever CMYK profile you want when you export to PDF.

We also talk about this here:
