Are there rules to using the @ sign in text?

      In some content management systems, using a phrase such as “follow me @Twitter:soandso” can cause the @ to be deleted. Adobe sees the @ as a style and and gives an error as a missing style.

      Any ideas to how to keep the use of @ in? CS3 is the level of InDesign and maybe this has changed over the years. Without being in a CMS environment, it seems to work just fine.
