Looking for an alternative to Autoprice. It is able to link text in the InDesign document to an outside spreadsheet for updating prices easily for large catalogs and such where the items shown in the catalog don't change much but the pricing is updated every month. It works fairly well and has been in our workflow since the old Quark days. They still don't have a CS5 version of the plug-in available on their site. So we are waiting to upgrade.

What Pricing plug-ins do you use? Is there anything newer and more functional or easier to use out there?

There are several plug-ins that will allow linking to a spreadsheet. I also work on catalogs and after trying four linking plug-ins decided to go with EasyCatalog, which supports CS5.

Adobe lists more plug-ins here. Maybe you can find one that suits your needs.

      Good luck.

Great thanks… Looks like they have finally updated it. We always wait to upgrade to the next “CS” until this comes out. But since it has been 8 months already. If we wait 10 more months CS6 could be released.
