      Hi Folks

Looking for some feedback from anyone who creates target proofs for their commercial printer using any of the current Epson inkjet printers.

We've been creating inexpensive, accurate target proofs with our Epson 1270 for about 10 yrs now via the following standard flow:

      > InDesign using Adobe Color Managed Workflow >

      > Export to PDF X1a >

      > Print target proof using SWOP 2 as Destination Profile >

      > Provide this print to print shop as a contract target.

Results have been excellent, but now the 1270 has died a noble death and we're looking to replace it.

      Question:

Is anyone using one of the current Epson inkjets for this, and what are your experiences (e.g. the Epson R3000 and 3880 or even the Artisan 1430)?

We'd like to get a relatively inexpensive, hassle-free replacement to the 1270.

If you have with experience with current models and a PDF-X workflow, I'd appreciate hearing from yoiu.

      Cheers and thanks

      Tom
