Over the past 6-or-so years I've made several catalogs for one of my clients. Most of the work in the current itteration is based off of the very first catalog, which was made by typing everything in by hand (the client has a “sophisticated” database but apparently no intention to enter more than a 1-line cryptic product description filled with typos). The prices, while formatted to appear next to a certain line in the product description text frame, are in separate text frames on their own layer so they can be hidden for consumer catalogs.

Now that the client is getting a web shop, I need to export all product descriptions and matching prices from the current 216 page catalog into a Word or Excel file.
Is there a way to do this without having to manually copy & paste each frame's contents out of InDesign and into Word/Excel?
As far as I've been able to tell it's not possible and the prices need to be pasted into the correct locations anyway, but I'm hoping I've missed something that'll make my life easier and the job cheaper for the client.

I'd take a look at Zevrix's Batch output and Rorohiko's Text Exporter.

Thanks, I'll give the Rorohiko one a go on a test file at home tonight, as the other one isn't available for Windows (stupid developers ignoring such a large group of users) and as I'm not supposed to charge the client (it's surprising how cheap 'rich' folk tend to be).
