      Is it possible to put an animated gif into an InDesign document so that it will be animated in a PDF made from that ID document?

      As far as I know animated GIFs aren’t supported in PDFs – you could try converting to MP4, perhaps.

      (and yes, converting to MP4 seems to be an option)

      Thankyou, David.

      It seems like it is possible (via MP4) but it becomes a case of “is it worth the troube?” and the answer in my case is “No.”

      But thanks for pointing me to that article.
