When anchoring an object to a text box with a custom anchor (not inline), why does the first line of text ignore the text wrap?

Hi. I noticed this too. I usually anchor it to another paragraph or use a line break if the anchored image is on the right. The text will go through the image if there is no line break.

It’s always worked that way. InDesign can’t calculate text wrap for the line where the object is anchored. In some cases, you can make an in-line object, or as others have suggested anchor it to another paragraph.

If I anchor it to the next paragraph then it doesn’t give me text wrap for the first line of that paragraph or the paragraph before.

Good good! Problem is I want it to wrap to the first paragraph of the text box :(
