Hi community,
is there any way to create an alternative layout with some pages change page orientation BUT the content of these pages stays exactly the same e.g. rotates when orientation is flipped?
Background: I created a document containing A7 flashcards. I arranged them 8 pages per print sheet => I can export an A4 PDF with 8 cards per page to generate my physical flashcards (choosing “print sheet” in the export dialogue), or I export the document regularly (pagewise) to generate a PDF for mobile use.
Some Pages contain portrait-oriented content. Because I need landscape pages for my “print sheet = A4”-export, I only used landscape oriented pages and rotated the contet of these pages instead. For print this is fine but for the mobile-use PDF these pages come with wrong orientation (and Adobes Reader-App for Android doesn’t even have a “page flip”). Question: is there an easy way to define which pages should rotate from landscape to portrait AND to “fix” their content on the page so that the content rotates with them?
I’d love to get a deeper understanding of InDesign – that’s the main reason for asking this – let’s say somewhat particular – question… ;)
