    Can anyone write a script that takes a document that has 10 different Alternate layouts and exports 10 different PDFs.
    I want them to have the base document name with the Alternate Layout name appended.

    Layout_alt1.pdf
    Layout_alt2.pdf

    Something like that. Each of my alternate layouts is only 2 pages if that helps.

    Ajar Productions has something close but it exports individual INDDs and it seems to crash everytime I try it. https://ajarproductions.com/blog/2013/05/13/save-indesign-alternate-layouts-as-separate-documents/

    Something like this almost works but it is doing each page… I need to learn scripting.

    Here is my solution (actually, not only mine – I found similar script and modified them to make it work the way you need).

    This script ask you to choose PDF Export preset first (you can set necessary settings in File > Adobe PDF Presets > Define… dialog box, then save preset, and choose it when you run this script). Once you choosed Export Preset – click OK, and script will save pdf files with your alternative layouts to the same folder where your InDesign file is saved, with name of FileName_LayoutName.pdf

    WONDERFUL!

    I’M LOOKING a similar script that exports JPEGs with JUST the Alternate Layout title as the document name. Feeling frisky?
