Aligning Text Without "Creating Outlines"

      I know how to align text properly without outlining text in Illustrator, but does InDesign CC allow me to align a text frame to an object so that the text inside is perfectly aligned?

      Can you be more specific on what you’re trying to do? I’m not sure what it is you’re exactly trying to accomplish. What kind of object? What kind of type? What type of alignment?

      There is: Type->Story->Optical Alignment

      I have a text frame that doesn’t vertically align to the shape it’s in. Type > Story > Optical Alignment didn’t work. I must be missing something.

        Ccan you upload a screenshot to drive or aanother image hosting website and provide tthe link to us so that we can maybe see what iit is you’re going for and what the problem mmight be?
