      Hi Everyone,

I have a document in InDesign CS6 and after place and link a text from another document (with autoflow or normal flow, doesn't matter) the frames on new pages have a custom baseline grid. The source has the same baseline grid as the file I copy and link into. The new frames has a frame option I've set in another frame on the first page of the document. How can I force InDesign to use the default grid when I paste text?

      And another question:

After autoflow my pages are like this:

pages How can I have them start facing page 5 when I autoflow text?

Thanks for the answers in advance :)

OK, clicking on the “basic text frame” object style and closing it solved the first problem. Strange.

I still don't know the answer to my second question though. Could somebody please help me with that? Many thanks!

Hit shift when you place the text, you will see the cursor change to a meandering S shape with an arrow on the end, when you click the text will flow creating a text box on all the pages it needs.

Thanks for the tip Tim. I actually tried this, before I posted the question and that's how I ended up with pages I posted on that image. So I'm still looking for a solution, though it's not a huge problem, I can fix it easily. Any other ideas?

Do you have an object style selected when you flow the text or overrides?

Oh, God. It was the page numbering. It was always my pet peeve and today I was working on some new layouts and figured out (finally, finally!) how they really work. So page five was forced to the left, but InDesign puts odd pages on the right and even pages on the left automatically, and when I inserted the text it automatically added the next page on the left.
