Adjusting an index's automatic hyperlinks?

      Hello all,

      I’ve created an index and just the page numbers have hyperlinks. Is it possible to specify while setting up the index to also include the text that precedes the page number to be included in the hyperlink?

      For example: American Artists 6

      My topic “American Artists” appears on page 6, can I have the topic “American Artists” be included in the hyperlink with the page number or will I have to create that hyperlink separately? Trying to find a more efficient and less time consuming way to do this…
