I have been trying this for hours and cannot get this to work let me explain. I open a new .indd document, use the place command to add a video drag opena box resize correctly.

I can play the video in the media window. I save the doc, open in Acrobat 10.1.7 and I see the poster frame, roll my cursor over the video area and click. I immediately get a grey box where the video was, I hear the audio but do not see the video.

Then if I roll my cursor over the grey area and keep clicking the mouse the video comes up and goes on and off.

I have tried EVERY configuration of video.

      Original video is an .mp4

      it’s H264
      1920 x 1080
      38.6mb

when I try to place I get the message cannot preview media cannot connect to the internet or file is not on server.

      SO

I re save in QT as H264 but make the size 640 x 480 but now it’s an.mov

      same message

      saved in mp4 352 x248 mp4 same message.

      Can anybody help me here?

Wanted to add that I have read the article here

      https://creativepro.com/picking-the-best-video-format-for-digital-publishing.php

my problem has to be in the encoding I wish I could send the pdf so someone can have a look.

Well, it’s possible that it’s the encoding. But have you tried this on another computer? Possible that it’s your copy of Acrobat?

Ok now I took the original mp4 and this time used the Adobe Media Encoder

      chose 264 Apple Ipad 400 x 300 so I have a 264 .mp4 file

Placed in a blank indd doc and saved to an interactive pdf

when I open in AcrobatX I mouseover the video and click video turns grey I hear the audio but do not see the video If I click my mouse over the video it will start and stop the video but the audio does not stop.

What the heck is going on with that?

anyone as this is a huge problem and stopping me from completing an Interactive pdf project.

      Anyone please?
