Hi! I have being studying for the test and I have failed it twice… one the times just for one question… :(

I am already an ACI certified in Illustrator, I passed that test the first time!

I find that a lot of the questions are not really designed to verify you are skilled with the software. Memorizing shortcuts does not mesure your ability with the product… I can understand some of the questions are about shortcuts, but they are just a lot!

What do you think, I am about to get depressed because of this :( hehe

Andrea, are you talking about the InDesign exam? There should be very few questions about shortcuts, except where those shortcuts are required to understand the feature itself.

It is not possible to miss by one question. It is true that it is a difficult test, but it is designed to be passed relatively easily by someone who uses InDesign regularly.

Hi all. New user and first post, be gentle :S
I am hoping to sit the InDesign CSS ACE exam in the coming months. I would say I am a very frequent user but I currently have CS5.5 … will it be the case that I won’t know the answers to too many questions as I haven’t encountered the features?
Also, I had read from others that some of the questions seemed to have more than one correct answer, and upon downloading the sample questions from Adobe I found an example:
      2. You select a graphic on your page and choose Object > Arrange > Send to Back. However, it still appears on top of another object. What is likely the problem? A. The object in the background is on a different layer. B. The graphic is locked. C. You need to select the image inside the frame, not the frame. D. You should use Object > Arrange > Send Backward. Correct answer: A
I guess the emphasis should be on what is ‘likely’ the problem, as A (the desired answer) in my experience at least is by far the most common in this scenario, but I would suggest two or even three of the answers ‘could’ be correct.
Anyway, I look forward to spending more time in this forum and meeting more InDesign users.

Spencer: There were a lot of new features in CS6, and a few in CC. You should probably familiarize yourself with CC in order to be an ACE in it, I would think. But my guess is that you might be able to pass with just CS 5.5 knowledge; hard to say.

Also, on the sample question you mentioned: I don’t see how C or D could be correct; and if B were correct, you couldn’t choose that feature.
