      Hi everyone

I’m new to the forum-have just registered with an account-so I apologize if I’m not following the correct rules re posting a question.

I am trying to create an accessible PDF with an interactive table of contents and establish the correct logical reading order for a screen reader with tags and threaded text etc. The table of contents contains multi-level numbered lists. I’m trying to ensure the table of contents links to each numbered section throughout the document, so the TOC has the same paragraph styles as those in the document.

My issue is that the numbered list that begins on the first page of the document is continuing from the table of contents which is threaded to the first page. How do I ensure that my list in the table of contents links to the document through threaded text boxes and paragraph styles (automatically creating the correct page numbers etc.) yet stops continuing the numbering from TOC to the first page?

My last level 1 listed item in the document is 11. and then the first listed item on page 1 in the document should be 1. but it is 12.

      Thanks,
      Sarah

      Hi everyone

My apologies, I have found the solution to my problem in the following link:

      https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/using/bullets-numbering.html

The solution is to select Type from the menu, then Bulleted Lists and then Restart Numbering.

      Best wishes,
      Sarah
