Sign Up Now for Type Design Workshop in PDX
At the end of this four-day workshop, you will be proficient in the FontLab font-creation software, and have received instruction in contemporary type design from Veronika (“Vik”) Burian and Jose Scaglioné of the TypeTogether type foundry. All that, and it costs just $395 if you register through the Portland Type Foundry by Thursday, April 28, 2011.
Although workshop organizers suggest that participants have a basic knowledge of Illustrator, Freehand, or other apps that edit Bezier curves, there are no calligraphy or character design prerequisites. Classes will meet in Portland, Oregon, from 10 AM to 4 PM, July 13 through July 16, 2011.
For more information on the workshop and the instructors, read Thomas Phinney’s blog post. To register, contact **@**ca.edu” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”>**@**ca.edu or call 503-821-7864.
