Salieri’s suggestion will work, but using Relink to Folder would be a better solution than the hide ‘n’ seek option: https://creativepro.com/relink-from-one-image-file-type-to-another.php

However, I believe Ronni is looking for something more akin to OPI or Scitex’s APR (Automatic Picture Replacement). Here’s what looks to be an old explanation: https://www.iptech.com/Home/News/Feature_Article/feature_article_-_why_we_still.html

I used Scitex APR “back in the day” but it hardly seems necessary nowadays as Salieri implies.

Ronni, I assume you must have quite a handful of images to make the query. I can’t say I’ve ever seen such a thing. My sense is that you need somehing like the Relink to Folder ability added to the PEU (Page Exporter Utility) script. I’m not a scripter, so I don’t even know if that’s possible.
