You can export your text to Word using  the File>Export>Rich Text Format

You have to have your text frame active, that is, use the text tool and click inside your frame.

It will only export the text on a frame by frame basis. So if your frames are not linked/threaded then you will only get one file for that frame.

If you create a PDF, the PDF does not have any styles, therefore anything saved from the PDF to Word would not have the same style names as the InDesign file.
