My first thought would be to recreate the pdf. Every once in a while, there seems to be a hiccup when creating a pdf. Other than that, I can't think of ay reason for it to happen.

You are right about the max document size being 5486.4 mm

You can still have paste-board around that page though which allows you to add marks and bleeds.
