You would need to open every doc.

There's an icon to the left of the Chapter Files in the Book Panel – this indicates which Chapter will be the Style Source

Go to the Sub Menu of the Book Panel (top right) and go to Synchronise Options – select only the Master Page

Then Synchronise the Chapters

Have NO files selected in the Book Panel.

To do so click in a gray blank area below the Chapter Files (extend panel if necessary)

Or use CTRL (CMD on Mac) Click to “de-highlight” a Chapter File.
