In the ID file, you will note each “Image-Number” group is anchored!
There’re 3 object styles: one for the first image of the line, one for eventual following ones and the third for the numbering.

The trick is the way the “Image” graphic frame [inline – with/without wrapping] and the “Numbering” text frame [personalized, by reference to the anchoring point] are anchored!! ;-)
