Reply To: Renumbering static note reference numbers (GREP?)

I have a problem similar to this. I brought in a Word document with endnotes gathered at the end of the book. Numbering restarted with each chapter. InDesign (CS3) brought them in but numbered them consecutively, in the text reference and at the end. Not sure how to use that script because my grep skills are pretty nonexistent. I would like to choose a range for a chapter, say 24-30, and convert them to 1-7. Should be easy, if I knew how…
