You didn’t mention the OS you’re running, but Windows reserves a few characters for special use (like the backslash), and the colon is one of them. I believe it may also be on Mac OS.
You might be able to work around this by using a GREP style to find the first ‘/’ and change it. This would be done in the Appendix paragraph style.
