Quark Inc. announced today the release of Quark Publishing System® 7, the next generation collaborative workflow system. QPS® 7 debuts to set a new standard in collaborative workflow systems, leveraging 15 years of workgroup publishing experience. This release introduces a host of new and enhanced features aimed at streamlining editorial and creative workflow processes while improving production. QPS 7 has been completely re-engineered using proven open standards such as a true Service Oriented Architecture based on the Spring Framework Java™/J2EE™, making it one of the most advanced publishing systems available today for newspapers, magazines and corporate publishers.

- Support for QuarkXPress 7 and QuarkCopyDesk 7, which provides designers the ability to provide writers and copy editors live updates of design changes so they can easily edit and precisely copyfit text;
- QPS® Web Editor, which lets users write, edit and copyfit text through the Internet and preview their work in progress as it appears in an actual QuarkXPress® layout;
- Certification with HSQL and Microsoft SQL means QPS 7 supports industry-standard databases;
- File Streaming ensures easy and secure access to content
