Quark Inc. announced today that InBetween GmbH has become a QuarkXPress Server OEM partner and QuarkAlliance technology partner to provide solutions for media-neutral marketing materials. InBetween is the maker of InBetween Professional, a leading product in the field of database publishing systems.
InBetween provides software for automated corporate publishing and full support of the marketing communication process. Using QuarkXPress Server 7 and InBetween, users can set print publications or other output media (such as online catalogues, price lists, shops, or BMEcat) on the basis of structured data sources such as an ERP or marketing database, XML file, or CSV file. The combination of both technologies means users can produce design-rich templates using the full range of QuarkXPress Server 7 features, including the new Job Jackets, Unicode, transparency, and Composition Zones features. These templates can then be made available to multiple remote users to publish customized, server-based advertising materials. The users of InBetween Professional don’t need to be professional designers: They can very easily generate different kinds of formats from a single template.
The addition of QuarkXPress Server to the solution enables marketing communications departments to produce complex customized on-demand creative communications and reduce turnaround time from weeks to days. Teams can reduce review and approval cycles drastically because updates and changes can be made at the push of a button. All of these benefits add up to substantial savings in the creation of marketing materials.
