Poser Figure Artist Released by e frontier

e frontier announced today the release of Poser Figure Artist software for the traditional art markets. Poser Figure Artist was designed to help artists create the human figure for canvas, sculpture or digital artwork. The software allows artists to choose any of the numerous 3D figure models that are included, pose the figure and then view it from various angles and surface planes with a large variety of lighting options. Poser Figure Artist is a valuable addition for artists who want to use the human form in their artwork or studies, and would prefer an option to wooden mannequins and costly, live models.
Poser Figure Artist, which is optimized for the traditional and mixed media artist, was developed from e frontier’s popular 3D human figure program, “Poser.” Poser has been on the market for 10 years and has over 200,000 users worldwide. Poser Figure Artist features an intuitive, workflow-based interface that quickly walks the user through the set-up process to place a figure model in the scene, set a pose, add hair, facial expression and clothing from the built-in content library. Poser Figure Artist allows artists to easily pose or move any part of the body, and to create the appropriate lighting conditions.
For information regarding Poser Figure Artist, see, https://www.e-frontier.com/go/poserfigureartist .
Poser Figure Artist comes complete with a library of 12 different ready-to-use human figure models and hundreds of poses, garments, expressions, hairstyles and backgrounds to work with. A built-in browser allows access to e frontier’s online content store, Content Paradise, which features additional content that can be viewed, purchased, and downloaded directly into the Poser Figure Artist library. With the included or purchased content, figures can be posed with props such as garments, chairs, or drapes, camera angles can be adjusted, and lights and shadows added as the artist chooses. Poser Figure Artist can also place backgrounds behind the model or props. The resulting 3D human figure is a realistic image that artists can use as a model to help draw, sculpt, create digitally or paint the human form. The final output can also be rendered to look like pastel, watercolor, charcoal, photorealistic or other art styles.
Laslo Vespremi, Director of Strategic Marketing at e frontier said, “Artists are going to like this program because it allows them to use the software as if it were a live human model. The artist will appreciate the benefit of not having to pay a model to pose or stopping while the model takes a break or falls asleep.”
Artist Linda Hellfritsch, who uses Poser Figure Artist said, “Poser Figure Artist is a great addition to fundamental life drawing skills and the knowledge of anatomy. It can also be used as an educational tool for those just beginning or wanting to learn the finer points of using the human figure in their artwork. Poser Figure Artist is an extremely handy tool in the fine art studio.”
Figure Artist is also a great educational tool for novice or advanced artists who want to explore the human form. The software includes how-to-draw tutorials and a tutorial book by art writer Les Pardew, whose illustrated book provides two chapters as included online tutorials. Also included are reference images by famous painters such as Leonardo, Rubens and Rembrandt.
