Currently (December 2024) you can import PSDC files but not AIC files into INDDC files.
Thanks, Mike! I hope they get all these pieces working together soon.
Working for a commercial printer, over 95% of the files we receive are PDFs Exported from InDesign. With that being said, every month we get a couple PDFs Exported from Canva with Black type containing 100%K.
In my initial tests, this is not the case with PDFs from Adobe Express. More specifically a document created in InDesign with type having the [Black] Swatch applied, then Exported to Adobe Express will convert the black type to sRGB. When choosing Download PDF (Best for Print) the black type remains sRGB.
Thanks David and Anne-Marie for another great podcast. I always learn so much from these.
I was able to open a pdf created in PowerPoint in InDesign Beta. I was pretty surprised, so maybe they are making some headway in what types of pdfs it will open?
releases of MVP is a trend, a lack of respect for the customer – paying customer, who expects to have final features, tried and tested, before release. There is a constant refrain in the studio, new feature in Adobe products! (excitement) then… aaahhhgh.. Adobe! Why? :(
Agreed… excitement, then “aaahhhgh.”
That said, I don’t mind them releasing features that are useful and then making them even better later.
