Photo & Video Features in Panasonic's Lumix FZ47 Camera Are Worth a "Wow!"
Panasonic has announced a new digital camera, the Lumix
DMC-FZ47, that will ship in August 2011 for $399. Some of its specifications are nothing unusual for a modern point-and-shoot: a 12.1-megapixel sensor, automatic and manual controls, HD video capture, etc., etc.
But the DMC-FZ47 also has these noteworthy features:
* ability to manually change shutter speed and aperture while shooting video
* automatic noise reduction when you’re filming in windy conditions
* high-speed shooting (from 3.7 to 10 fps, depending on your resolution setting)
* ability to capture 3D photos you can play back on 3D equipment that is MPO-compatible

While it’s too soon to tell, let’s hope the shipping camera lives up to its promising specifications.
