Recosoft is now shipping PDF2ID Standard and Professional v4.0 for InDesign Creative Cloud. These programs convert PDF and XPS files to editable InDesign files. PDF2ID v4.0 also incorporates additional PDF-to-InDesign property recovery. You can buy PDF2ID Standard v4.0 for $199 (upgrade $99). PDF2ID Professional v4.0 is $299 (upgrade $149).
Recosoft says it is debuting four primary new features in version 4.0:
1. Integration with InDesign Creative Cloud
PDF2ID has been enhanced to operate with InDesign CC (InDesign v9.0).
2. Native 64-bit Technology
PDF2ID v4.0 is now a native 64-bit technology, offering performance benefits on both 64-bit Mac and Windows platforms. The company says that conversions are 15-20% faster than previous versions of PDF2ID.
3. Paragraph Rules
Paragraph rule properties are recognized and applied to the corresponding paragraphs in the resulting InDesign file, enhancing high-level property recovery.
4. Layout Reconstruction Core v6.5
PDF2ID v4.0 contains the latest v6.5 layout reconstruction core, which has been enhanced in several areas resulting in even more accurate conversions.
PDF2ID v4.0 runs on Mac OS X 10.6.8 and higher and Windows 7 and higher. InDesign Creative Cloud is required.
