Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2013
Spring and St. Patrick’s Day are both still a ways off, but it’s already time to incorporate some verdant hues into your work, at least according to Pantone, which has declared Emerald 17-5641 to be the Color of the Year for 2013.

Some of the themes evoked by emerald are healing, unity, renewal, enhanced sense of well-being, balance, and harmony. Ideas of sophistication and luxury also follow from the color’s association with precious gems.

PANTONE 17-5641 Emerald comes from the Fashion and Home color guide, but you can easily cross-reference it to any of Pantone’s other color libraries, using the myPANTONE X-Ref tools on Pantone.com
