New Color Management Professional Certification Program

IPA, The Association of Graphic Solutions Providers launched its new Color Management Professional Certification Program. Developed by industry-leading color management experts, the objective of the Color Management Professional (CMP) program is to provide a consistent, worldwide understanding of the best practices associated with color management implementation in a graphic communication production environment. Who should become CMP Certified??
IPA’s Color Management Professional Certification Program is designed for creative, photography, prepress, premedia and print professionals interested in gaining valuable knowledge of the principles of color management in a graphic communication production environment and wish to be recognized for their color management expertise.
Why CMP Certification? ?
Creative, premedia and print service providers are seeking professionals with the knowledge, experience and demonstrated skills to manage an efficient color managed graphics workflow to assure an efficient internal production system and to achieve external customer satisfaction.
About the First Course?
The first course in the CMP program, Color Management Fundamentals, is a comprehensive 17 lesson, six-hour course that describes the principles of color management in a graphic communication production environment. Additional CMP courses will be offered for “Professional” Certification in Creative, Photography, Prepress and/or Premedia specialties in October, 2008. Each course contains both education and testing, including an online practicum demonstration.
The CMP certification program is comprised of a series of on-line instructional courses designed by industry-leading color management experts, using advanced online training technology with 24/7 access to all courses and exams. This content will be regularly updated to reflect changing technology and best practices.
