The entire line is FSC certified and features five shades made with 100% postconsumer waste fiber (PCW), and twelve 30% PCW shades. Beckett Cambric also has the added environmental advantage of being made carbon neutral, which means that the thermal energy emissions created in the manufacturing of the Beckett Cambric line have been entirely offset with Verified Emissions Reduction (VER) credits. Plus, 100% of the electricity used to produce Beckett Cambric is offset by Green-e certified windpower.

Beckett Cambric has been updated to support today’s digital and cross platform printing needs. All Cambric cut size papers are guaranteed to run in office copiers, laser and inkjet printers, and digital color production presses. And now included in the line are Cambric Digital with i-Tone™ papers specifically designed for the HP Indigo press, and run equally well on the Kodak Nexpress 2100 Plus™ Digital Color Production Press and the Xerox iGen3™ Digital Production Press.
Plus the Beckett Cambric Digital portfolio has the added distinction of being the first premium linen writing, text, and cover paper optimized for digital color production printing that is also FSC certified and made carbon neutral.
New colors
How did Mohawk refresh the line? “We focused on the colors and environmental aspects for Cambric’s reintroduction. We conducted extensive color trend research and based the new palette on
expert color forecasts and current consumer trends. We added the brightest white available [99 bright Platinum White] and refreshed Cambric’s color palette with rich, new colors like Crimson and Ultimate Black, and fresh, bold colors like Azure, Dandelion, and Olive Gold. In addition to updating the line visually, we made Cambric the most sustainable linen choice,” says Laura Shore, Senior Vice President, Communications, Mohawk Fine Papers.
“The beautifully refined Cambric finish is subtler than other linen papers. Its surface, which appears polished and calendared, offers flawless print performance with a surface engineered to hold ink with minimal dot gain.
