Lynda.com Announces First Phase of Photoshop CS3 Beta One-on-One Training

lynda.com, the company specializing in self-paced training in digital media and design, today released the first part of Photoshop CS3 Beta One-on-One with Deke McClelland.
Adobe made history last December by releasing the first-ever public beta of a future version of Photoshop. To help the digital imaging community learn how to use the new Photoshop features, lynda.com immediately published two hours of video training and made it available online for free.
Now, lynda.com is proud to announce the release of the first piece of a four-part follow-up series, called Photoshop CS3 Beta One-on-One. It includes eight hours of in-depth Photoshop CS3 training taught by Deke McClelland, author of the best-selling Photoshop One-on-One books. The series will be available exclusively to our Online Training Library™ subscribers. The current release is part one of a 27-hour training course, with additional parts to become available over the next few weeks. It is the largest collection of Photoshop CS3 Beta video training available anywhere in the world.
This new training course teaches essential skills, such as understanding and customizing the new Photoshop CS3 interface; opening, zooming, scrolling, and navigating images; using Adobe Bridge; correcting colors; brightening images; correcting exposure; and cropping and straightening photographs. Exercise files accompany the tutorials.
“We’re in a new era of software publishing, where we have public beta releases of major software applications. This means a new era of training as well, since users need to learn the applications as quickly as they are released. lynda.com is committed to ensuring our customers are trained and current, so we’ve put tremendous effort into supporting this cause. Photoshop CS3 Beta One-on-One is the first training of its kind–an in-depth 27-hour video tutorial on beta software!” says Lynda Weinman, CEO of lynda.com.
lynda.com will be releasing this tutorial in four phases during the coming weeks, and is also publishing this title with exercise files as a free download.
