Learn the Ins and Outs of a Professional Photoshoot
CreativeLive has a very successful business model. It enlists experts in photography to lead seminars, often several days long, on hot topics. You can attend the seminars in person in the CreativeLive Seattle office, or you can watch streaming video online.
The cost? Free. No, really! CreativeLive makes money by selling recordings of the seminars after the fact. But frankly, I don’t care how they pay their bills. I’m just pleased that these amazing educational opportunities don’t require me to take out a loan to pay for them.
The August seminar, which will run August 26, 27, and 28, will be led by commercial photographer Mark Wallace and is called “Anatomy of a Photoshoot”. He will cover technical aspects, such as lighting and color, but he’ll also give advice on working with art directors, make-up artists, and models. And Mark won’t just be a talking head. During the three-day seminar, he’ll go demonstrate several complete concepts from start to finish, from small jobs to large productions.
