Lanier Introduces Two Network Laser Printers That Deliver Color and Monochrome Output at the Same Speed

Lanier Worldwide, Inc. today launched the Lanier LP226cn and LP231cn printers. These network-ready laser printers deliver full-color, monochrome, and mixed jobs at their full rated speeds of 26 or 31 pages per minute with image quality up to 1200 x 1200 dpi, making them ideal for end-users in small to medium workgroups who regularly print a variety of jobs. Both printers will be available immediately.
“No matter what kind of document end-users need to print, the LP226cn and LP231cn deliver outstanding color and black-and-white results,” said Dominic Pontrelli, vice president of Marketing for Lanier. “Even more important for cost-conscious organizations, these two systems are among the most affordable laser printers in their class, so they provide exceptional cost-efficiency.” The LP226cn and LP231cn also offer impressively low total cost of ownership.
“These printers are just as affordable as many mid-volume laser printers that are strictly monochrome devices, yet they provide a cost-per-page that is lower than most dedicated color and monochrome printers,” Pontrelli said. “Users will enjoy a number of standard features that are typically optional on mid-volume printers, such as a fast processor, Ethernet and USB 2.0 connectivity, and duplex printing that runs at 100% of rated speed. Plus, both systems offer long-lasting supplies and industry-leading duty cycles.”
The LP226cn and LP231cn offer versatile paper handling. All drawers accept a variety of stocks and sizes, including envelopes, transparencies, and recycled paper. Both printers can accommodate paper weights up to 120-pound index in simplex mode or 90-pound index in duplex mode.
Security features include Microsoft Windows authentication for password-protected system access, print file encryption prior to network transmission, Copy Guard protection that prevents unauthorized copying of printed output on similarly enabled devices, and full audit trail capabilities. Both printers can also be equipped with an optional scanner, enabling scan-to-email and scan-to- folder functionality.
