InMath Update With New Reader Functionality
Here's a very important warning for InMath users, and a software update.
The folks at i.t.i.p. have just announced updates to their math typesetting plug-in, InMath. There are versions for both InDesign CS2 and CS3. The updates incorporate the new “Reader” functionality, which protects documents opened in both InDesign and InCopy when the fully-functioning version of InMath is absent. Specifically, if you auto-recover from an InDesign or InCopy crash without the plug-ins present, you risk Very Bad Things happening to your InMath expressions. The reader version of InMath is free, but you have to request it via e-mail. More details on the risk and the reader at i.t.i.p.’s news pages.
