If you’re an InDesign Magazine subscriber (or thinking about becoming one), you should know that one of the easiest ways to locate the articles you’re interested in is to use the Topic Index.
Previously, the index (or InDex, if you prefer) was available only as a PDF download from a link in the back of each issue. But now that we’re in the process of making articles from back issues available to read here on the website, it only made sense to put the index here too.
Using the InDesign Magazine Topic Index
You can access the index from the top of any page on the site, by moving your cursor over the Magazine menu and clicking Topic InDex.
You can browse the index page (or search it if you’re into instant gratification) and then click a hyperlink to jump to relevant the issue page. Note that many topics have been covered in multiple issues, so be careful to click on the exact issue you want.
From there, you can download a PDF of the issue and start reading.
In some cases, you also have the option to click an article title to read it here on the site.
Nearly all magazine articles published in the last two years are available to read here at InDesignSecrets and more articles from back issues are being added all the time.
