InDesign Hiding Issue Fixed with Leopard 10.5.6

The nightmare is finally over.

Michael Ninness, the Senior Product Manager for InDesign and all around good guy, just e-mailed us some great news. Adobe has confirmed that the frustrating issue of InDesign not being able to be hidden (or not being able to come back after it was hidden successfully without a painful Force Quit) no longer exists when running under the latest release of Apple’s OS, Leopard 10.5.6. Woo-hoo! (This was such a pain.)

In case you need some documentation to show to your IT department, the official Adobe Technote on the issue is here: https://www.adobe.com/go/kb402895.

If you’re on a Mac, and you’re not sure which version of the OS you’re running, choose About This Mac from the Apple menu at the upper left of your monitor. The version number appears right under the “Mac OS X” headline. Here’s mine, which is still at 10.5.5:

Choose Software Update from the same Apple menu to have OS X download the latest updates. Which is what I’m off to do right now!
