She can set placeholders for information that needs to change with each document created from that template. When working on the next iteration, it’s as easy as changing the text in one place to have it change across the document.

Now if only Adobe could go ahead and finally fix that text rendering for text variables to behave like normal text and not like an inline anchored object that only scales its content to the available width and not break.
