How to Create Cascading Object Styles in InDesign
Learn how to use paragraph shading and styles built into object styles to create, in essence, a string of cascading object styles.
In this “Three Minutes Max” InDesign video, Julie Shaffer shows off a trick to create cascading objects styles, sort of. By using paragraph shading, she is able to make a paragraph style with Next Style attributes to change the look of each subsequent text frame. As a bonus, she also shows a quick way to manipulate multiple frames at once and even change the look of numbers in a list. All that in just three minutes!
Three Minutes Max comes from a fun—yet very competitive—session at our annual CreativePro Week conference. Speakers have three minutes to wow the audience with the tip and win a prize for a lucky conference attendee.
