Hand Lettering from SketchType
If Jim Felici’s article about his trip to West Africa got you thinking about the organic appeal of hand lettering, you might want to check out SketchType, a series of letter sets from TheOrganicType.com. Volume 3 of SketchType features 16 original hand-drawn type sets in a wide variety of styles.

The type sets are images, not fonts. They come in the form of 300 ppi Photoshop files. So composing text with them would need to be done (appropriately enough) by hand.
Individual sets from Volume 3 can be purchased for $39, or you can have the whole lot for $299.
