The AIGA is holding its annual Portfolio Day for graphic design students in April and May. A portfolio review costs $10 or $30, depending on whether you’re an AIGA member. To find the review location nearest you, go to www.aiga.org and search under Events.
Color management expert Chris Murphy of www.colorremedies.com has just released a new 7-hour training video entitled “Color Management Essential Training”. You can find the video at lynda.com.
Last week, Adobe Systems announced the Photoshop Express public beta. It’s based on Photoshop’s image editing technology, but it’s a Rich Internet Application built with Adobe Flex. Basically what that means is that you get a portion of Photoshop’s technology online and for free.
Photoshop Express lets you store up to 2 gigabytes of images online for free, make edits to your photos, and share them online, including downloading and uploading photos from popular social networking sites like Facebook. To participate in the beta for Photoshop Express head to www.photoshop.com/express.
