Elixir Technologies Corporation, a leading software developer for personalized client communications solutions today announced the availability of the Tango QuickStep Data XTensions module for QuarkXPress. This free module provides variable data publishing capabilities for QuarkXPress layouts as part of the Tango QuickStep Studio. Tango QuickStep Studio provides task-specific modules for creating personalized communications — also known as variable data publishing (VDP). The free module allows QuarkXPress users the capability to add variable graphic and text elements directly onto their layouts as drag-and-drop objects. Utilizing QuarkXPress in the module allows designers to create content that includes variable elements with their existing design tool of choice, which:
* Removes the need to learn a custom design and layout tool built specifically for VDP
* Allows designers to leverage their existing design skills to create VDP layouts
* Allows designers to remain productive by providing variable elements that can be added as a part of the design process.
Once the design work is completed, the variable objects are then created separately in a web-based module that provides data import and preparation, along with tools to create the business rules that drive how the variable content will print or be presented on mobile/smart computing devices.
Adding variable content to QuarkXPress layouts with this XTension means that any design has the possibility for full personalization through Tango QuickStep Studio. Brochures, catalogues, postcards, transactional or any layout can be formatted in real time based on customer data and business rules that drive where and how the content is formatted.
