Norway’s Bergen Public Library recently joined Flickr’s Commons, a public photography archive.
According to Cris Stoddard’s Flicker blog post, the 137-year-old “Bergen Public Library is the main library and music department in the city center, six branch libraries and a mobile library. They also run the libraries in Bergen prison and Bjørgvin prison.
“They begin their journey into The Commons with two collections, one for Edvard Grieg, the Norwegian composer from the Romantic period, and another for Ole Bull, the great Norwegian violinist. Their digital archives contain portraits of and sketches from these renowned musical talents.”
