According to his Flickr profile, Lyle Vincent is a cinematographer based in Los Angeles and New York, but with the photo below, he takes you straight to India. Its title is “Boy Making a Dosa for Military Men, Varanasi India”. Here’s Vincent’s description of the shot:
“It was late in the day with golden light streaming through the narrow Gali somewhere near the golden temple in Varanasi. The boy frying the Dosa (pancake) creating the steam and how it was interacting with the light is what caught my eye and I took one quick picture as were moving along. I wasn’t until later that I noticed the man with the machine gun. I think it adds a nice extra element. I also like the guy in shadow behind them enjoying his own dosa.”

Vincent also notes that the photo is best viewed at its largest size on a black background; unfortunately, the dimensions of the largest size are outside CreativePro.com’s page grid.
