FedEx Kinko's Enhances Printing Software Customers Can Print to Locations Nationwide with the Click of a Mouse

FedEx Kinko’s, an operating company of FedEx Corp., is making it even easier for customers to submit print orders with its upgraded File, Print FedEx Kinko’s software. File, Print FedEx Kinko’s is a tool that enables customers to print directly to any FedEx Kinko’s Office and Print Center nationwide from their desktop.
The software’s new features include the ability to print multiple files per order and automatic order preview for proofing files online. In addition, customers can now securely store credit card and billing information to streamline future orders. The new enhancements also include an even wider selection of paper. New selections include cardstock, pastel, bright, resume and executive papers.
Expanded FedEx delivery service features have been added as well, including the option to select FedEx Ground services in addition to FedEx Express and the ability to pay for shipping using FedEx account numbers. Package tracking numbers are now provided to customers who ship their documents, allowing them to track the status of their order online at fedex.com.
“FedEx Kinko’s is dedicated to delivering innovative products and services to our customers,” said Gurmeet Singh, Managing Director, E-commerce Marketing at FedEx Kinko’s. “The latest version of File, Print FedEx Kinko’s makes printing remotely even easier and more convenient than before. The response to new features in File, Print FedEx Kinko’s has been great and has validated our efforts to provide customers with enhanced options they needed.”
File, Print FedEx Kinko’s software is free and may be downloaded at fedexkinkos.com/fpfk. Developed in conjunction with Microsoft, the software works to provide easy access to FedEx Kinko’s services not available on most home or office printers. Unlike orders placed through a Web site, this innovative printing tool works from inside Microsoft Windows desktop programs, or any other program, just like a print driver. File, Print FedEx Kinko’s is compatible with Microsoft Windows 2000 and Microsoft Windows XP.
FedEx and Technology
FedEx was built upon technology innovation and it continues to be an integral part of the FedEx culture. FedEx’s legacy of innovation encompasses a series of “firsts” including installing computers in delivery vehicles, pioneering the use of wireless technology for shipping, and offering package status tracking via fedex.com and on wireless devices such as cell phones, two-way pagers and personal digital assistants (PDAs).
