Epson Stylus Color 3000
Epson Stylus Color 3000
Designed for graphic artists and professionals, the Stylus Color 3000 uses Epson’s Micro Piezo technology for photo-quality, full bleed (up to 13" x 19") color images using QuickDry inks and AcuPhoto halftoning. All at an impressive 1440 x 720 dpi.
Also standard features include Adobe PostScript Level 2 for Windows 95/98 and Mac OS and PANTONE Calibrated approved colors. Additional options include internal Ethernet for Ether Talk, Novell, and TCP/IP network support.
ZDNet’s review from 1997 praises the Stylus Color 3000 while admitting to it’s occasional problems with speeds. Their conclusion? "…the combination of high-quality output, relatively low initial cost for a tabloid-size printer, and reasonably fast performance makes this a more-than-acceptable choice, and the high-capacity ink cartridges make it particularly appropriate for anyone who prints more than a few pages a day."
CADINfo.net’s review is terse but positive. Admittedly this isn’t a printer for CAD people or programs, but the article summarizes the Stylus Color 3000 by saying: "Great printer, expensive but just the thing for the very serious mid format sized prints."
