CreativePro Week 2025 Preview: 5 InCredible InDesign Sessions
A small sample of the amazing InDesign instruction you'll get at CreativePro Week 2025.

If you’re an InDesign user, you belong at CreativePro Week 2025. With 20 InDesign sessions on the agenda, there’s plenty of great stuff for everyone from newbies to grizzled vets. Here’s a sample to give you a taste of what’s in store for all you InDesigners out there.
Actually, There’s a Script for That
Mike Rankin
Okay, let’s get this out of the way. Yes, I’m voting for my own session—but with good reason! If I wasn’t doing this session, I’d be sitting in the front row because the power of scripting in InDesign is incredible. It can make the impossible possible, and save you loads of time, money, and sanity. If you’re struggling with some aspect of building InDesign documents, chances are there’s a script that can help. And with so many great scripts to choose from, I can’t wait to see which ones I show ;)
InDesign, HTML, and You!
Erica Gamet
About 15 years ago, the idea of making interactive documents with InDesign was hot. We thought we’d be cramming all our layout files with cool animations, video, slide shows, and pop-ups as a matter of course. That never quite happened, due to the demise of Flash, DPS, and other factors. But the torch has been carried on by in5 and other tools that allow you to make stunning interactive experiences that stand out from the crowd of static PDFs. Erica Gamet knows a thing (or 50) about producing great HTML content starting from InDesign, so this is a must-see for me.
Using GREP in InDesign
Adam Jury
I liken GREP in InDesign to the Force in Star Wars. If you learn to wield it properly, you’ll have superhuman powers, moving mountains with the wave of your hand. But you need an instructor wise in the arcane ways of GREP so you don’t lose your way. I see Adam Jury as a Jedi Master of GREP (okay, maybe it’s just the hoodie). Even if you’re brand new to GREP, he’ll set you on the right path so you can start building GREP searches and styles without fear, which we all know leads to the Dark Side.
So You Think You Know InDesign
Prescott Perez-Fox
We are all creatures of habit. Once we figure out how to accomplish some task, we tend to keep doing it that way, and never wonder if there might be something better, faster, easier. The downside of being an experienced user is that you might be a little too set in your ways. That’s why it’s imperative even for seasoned pros to come to CreativePro Week and check out sessions like this one by Prescott Perez-Fox. You’ll walk away with best practices and tips to refine your workflow, maximize your efficiency, and find more joy using InDesign.
Transformative InDesign: Little Things Make a Big Difference!
Laurie Ruhlin
It’s been said that half of graphic design is lining stuff up. We can disagree about the exact percentage but it’s undeniable that positioning, sizing, and aligning objects with precision and consistency is essential for producing professional quality work. And when you’re working with long or complex documents, you need to be efficient about lining stuff up. Laurie Ruhlin not only knows all the tricks for building complex InDesign layouts efficiently, she knows how to teach them in a way that’ll put a smile on your face.
