ASPP Education Conference to be Held April 24 – 27 in Phoenix, AZ

The American Society of Picture Professionals invites all photography and visual media professionals to their 5th Education Conference to be held at the Hilton Phoenix East/Mesa Hotel, Mesa, Arizona from April 24th through 27th 2008. The invitation is for content managers, art buyers, photo researchers, stock agency executives & employees, industry experts, as well as photographers. PACA (Picture Archive Council of America) members are our special guests for this event, and special pricing is also available for any members of the associations belonging to the Imagery Alliance (see below).
The conference will feature 8 fascinating sessions with industry guest speakers and panelists.  You will hear from key representatives from agencies including Digital Railroad, Getty, Jupiter Images, agefotostock, Image Source, fotolia and Corbis; organizations including PACA, ASMP, SAA, BAPLA, ACSIL, IPTC and PLUS; publishing representatives from Macmillan/McGraw-Hill and Discovery Communications; and notable speakers such as Mary Virginia (Swanee) Swanson and Nancy Wolff among others.

Our Gala dinner on the Saturday will feature a special tribute from both PACA and ASPP to our late friend and mentor, Jane Kinne.  The keynote speaker that night is Win Holden of Arizona Highways publications.

You can receive the discounted ASPP rate at the Hilton Phoenix East/Mesa hotel where the Conference is being held. The group rate of $129.00 per night (plus local tax) is valid for room stays from April 21 – April 30, 2008
The conference dates are Thursday, April 24 through Sunday, April 27. You’ll need a credit card to HOLD your reservation. Your card will not be charged until you check out. You can cancel 24 hours prior to your first night’s stay.

The hotel is business and family friendly, located 15 minutes from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, and offers the Zuni Grill restaurant, outdoor pool and sundeck, fitness center and atrium bar.
