AppleScript Pro Sessions Announces Guest Speakers

Organizers of the leading automation training event AppleScript Pro Sessions have announced three special guest speakers. The event is being held in the New York City area for the first time, with sessions May 8-12 in Secaucus, New Jersey, just six miles from Manhattan.
Late Night Software developer Mark Alldritt will be joining the group remotely for a demo of new features in Script Debugger 4. “We are delighted to have Mark back again, especially just after releasing Script Debugger 4, a major upgrade to AppleScript’s premiere editing environment,” said Ray Robertson, conference co-leader. “Mark helps out the AppleScript community in so many ways, and as a part of the demo he will be covering some of his donation-ware software: XML Tools and XSLT Tools.”
Gary Cosimini of Adobe Systems will also be making a special guest appearance to provide a demo of InDesign Server, which fully supports AppleScript. “Gary has been a long-time advocate of the power of AppleScript, and a tremendous help in holding these sessions in the New York area,” said Robertson. “I’m sure attendees will find his presentation exciting and informative.”
Returning for the fourth time will be Matt Neuburg, author of AppleScript: The Definitive Guide, Second Edition (now available). Neuburg will lead two sessions: a general introduction to Automator, and then a complete overview of using AppleScript Studio to create full applications and Automator actions. “Matt is a dynamic presenter and teacher, and we always receive great feedback about his sessions,” said Shane Stanley, conference co-leader. “He takes the same approach as we do: a fast-paced introduction, with some basic info for new users, and tips on advanced techniques for veteran scripters.”
The sessions will be held at Marriott Courtyard Secaucus Meadowlands at 455 Harmon Meadow Boulevard. Parking is free, and there are many public transportation options for locals, as well as travelers arriving at New Jersey or NYC airports.
Fewer than five seats are still available for the conference, so prompt registration is encouraged. For more details, please contact Ray Robertson at [email protected], or visit the AppleScript Pro Sessions website at https://www.scriptingmatters.com/aspro.
